I just came out to my good friend Gabbie. I only know her online, but she lives in my town right next to me and we talk on the phone all the time. My friend in real life lives in Gabbie’s neighborhood. I was going to see her in real life for the first time tonight when her and some of our friends went to the movies but she had to cancel because her mom wasn’t comfortable with her going to the movies with 3 boys. Anyway… I just asked her if she could keep a secret and she said yes. I said “I’m not even interested in girls So it shouldn’t be an issue with me.” She just put a smilie face (this was over AIM). I’ve talked about guys I like with her before and I never knew if she took me seriously or not, because I never talked about it for very long and often laughed about it. But now I’ve simply confirmed that I wasn’t kidding. It doesn’t feel super great or anything but I wasn’t expecting it to. It just feels nice.
