There is this guy in my neighborhood with a German Shepherd he walks and a few months ago, he told me how to calm dogs down by “exfoliating” them. I asked him what he meant, since I had never heard of that term and wondered if this is a kind of peach paw scrub. He didn’t seem to want to say so I said, “no really I have no idea” and he said well vets will sometimes do it. And I asked him again what it was and finally after pressing him, I can’t remember the exact words but basically he was telling me that jerking your dog off helps.I was pretty taken aback by that and it wasn’t until much later that it hit me what he may have been suggesting. Now I’ve been trying to run into him again but no luck. Damn. I am not sure it’s what he meant, but I have resolved that if I can run into him again, I will ask if he will show me how he does it. I think if he really was implying K9, he will know I’m interested. What do you think? Is it what he meant?I could kick myself for missing the opportunity

I have a friend that is going to help me find my first horse, but he insists on me getting a gelding. How do I let him now I really want a mare? Every time I mention wanting to get a mare he sees you do not want a mare. Any suggestions. I do not think he is going to rule out mares for my first horse, but he will probably have me looking at more geldings then mares. And how do I tell if a mare is going to be friendly.
